07 Nov Extreme New Program of Co Delivery
Extreme Networks is upgrading its high value-added partner program (formerly known as PWP) to the Co-Delivery specialisation model.
This is aimed at both new and existing partners, whether Authorized, Gold or Diamond.
The requirements are as follows:
For Benefits :
There are currently several certification paths depending on the technology:
– ExtremeCloud IQ – Controller
– ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine
– ExtremeCloud SD-WAN
– ExtremeWireless Cloud
– Extreme Switching
– Extreme Fabric
– Extreme Control
For each of these technologies, there is a ‘classic’ path, which consists of :
– A free video course : ‘Welcome Series
– An initial ‘Installation & Configuration’ course with MCQ exam
– Three training courses: ‘Advanced Configuration’ / ‘Management’ / ‘Troubleshoot’ with MCQ exams (there is no order for these three training courses).
– Once you have passed the four exams, you must then register for a final ‘ECP Assessment’ exam consisting of a theoretical part (MCQ) and a practical exam (supervised Lab) lasting one day, which will enable you to obtain ECP certification in the chosen technology.
To join the Co-Delivery programme and offer your customers better technical support (and improved discounts), whether you are a new partner, an existing partner or simply to extend the offers you currently provide in PWP (programme expiring on 31/12/24), a technical training course is required.
You are not obliged to train in all the technologies mentioned, but only in one (or more) of the 7 tracks from the 3 specialities of Wired, Wireless and Applications, depending on your positioning.
At least two technical staff must be certified on each of these tracks per partner.
For example: 2 x ECP Switching + 2 ECP Campus Fabric gives access to ECE Wired, giving you access to the benefits of Co-Delivery on the Wired offering. Training courses are available for each ECP. For these courses, only the video course is free; each of the 4 courses as well as the final ECP exam requires the intervention of an approved instructor, and therefore a cost.
As a Qualiopi-certified training centre and an Extreme Authorised Training Partner (ATP), Exer can help you with this process.
Aware that this process can be relatively long and costly, particularly for people who already have experience of the technologies, Extreme Networks has set up a tool called ‘Extreme Skill Tools Analysis’, which enables a free, quick test (15-minute MCQ) to be carried out for each technology under consideration.
This means that anyone interested in obtaining ECP certification and who feels they have sufficient experience of a given technology can take the test, which will produce one of the following results:
– Not Ready! The person has not demonstrated sufficient knowledge of the technology and must follow the standard curriculum (see above).
– ‘Almost There! : The person has demonstrated a certain amount of experience with the technology, and is eligible to take a 2-day accelerated course (‘Accelerated Course’, i.e. a condensed version of the three ‘Advanced Configuration’, ‘Management’ and ‘Troubleshooting’ courses).
You will then have to pass the ‘Installation & Configuration’ exam, followed by the three ‘Advanced Configuration’, ‘Management’ and ‘Troubleshooting’ exams.
Once these four exams have been passed, you can register for the final ‘ECP Assessment’ exam (consisting of a theoretical part and a practical part).
– You’re Ready! The candidate has demonstrated perfect mastery of the technology and can register directly for the final ECP Assessment exam without having to take any of the 4 pre-requisite exams.
